Frankie, Ch Shaireab's Bayleigh Last Call to Penbryn, wins Reserve Best in Show

Frankie has a spectacular start to his career.  He completed his Championship by winning Best of Breed at the Welsh Terrier Club of America Floating Speciality show in April 2012. His first time shown as a Champion, he won Reserve Best in Show under Judge Doug Holloway.

"Frankie" was Reserve Best in Show his first time shown as a special

Wonderful weekend!  Logan, "Shaireab's Bayleigh Wolverine" won his 4th Best Puppy in Show.  Frankie, "Shaireab's Bayleigh Last Call to Penbryn" was award Reserve Best in Show by Mr Doug Holloway and group judge Mr David Kirkland.  This weekend was the first time Frankie had. been shown as a special Watch for Frankie in the show ring.

Jennie, GCH Shaireab's Bayleigh Maid of Honor, Number One Welsh Terrier All Systems, took the weekend off so that our young boys could have their time in the ring.

Looking forward to Montgomery County Kennel Club show in two weeks.

Logan, Shaireab's Bayleigh Wolverine, on his way to his second Best Puppy in Show under terrier breeder judge Mr Bob Busby. Logan was awarded his third Best Puppy in Show at the Carolina Terrier Association Show on Sept 14 under Christi McDonald. Ch Shaireab's Bayleigh Believe You Me at Celyn, "Evie" finishes her CHAMPIONSHIP

Evie gives her mother, Carolyn Wolters,  welcome home snuggles and kisses.  Evie completed her CH by winning the puppy group  at the Chicago International Dog Show and a major at a Gateway Terrier Speciality Show.  As you can see, Evie is glad to be home!!!

Jennie and Luiz have another nice win in a very competitive terrier group.  Jennie is now #1 Welsh Terrier All Systems.

Best in Show for Pola

Best in Show for Pola!!!! She completed her championship by going Best at Asociacion Club Canino Colombiano "Pre SICALAM 2013" in Bogota. A special thank you to our good friend and co owner, Florencia Ybarnegaray, for showing Pola to this wonderful award. The photo I have included is from last year. Pola was BW and Puppy Group I at back to back terrier speciality shows judged by well known Welsh Terrier breeders to finish her American Championship. Thank you again Ivan and Florencia for your continued good work!!!

Happy Fourth of July

Wishing everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July!  The dog pictured is my "Sophie".  Fourteen years ago, she stole my heart and changed my life. Before owning Sophie, I had never been to a dog show or had even given it any thought.  Part of the agreement from Sophie's  breeder was that she would complete her Championship.  As they say the rest is history.  I am among the fortunate who was able to retire and pursue what has become my passion, breeding and exhibiting healthy beautiful Welsh Terriers.

Tony arrives in Knoxville today

Sharon and I are so excited to meet Tony Lee of Shanghai today.  He arrives in Knoxville later this afternoon. Tony imported Cash and Glitter (pictured above) several months ago. 

We are so blessed to have wonderful owners from around the world, i.e., Shanghai, Brazil, Colombia, Estonia, Poland, Venezuela, The Netherlands, the UK, Australia and Canada.

Successful Day at Colombia Terrier Speciality Show

Jennie completed her Grand Championship with this prestigious win under breeder judge Mrs Lee Steeves of Canada. Frankie won another 5 point major by going BW and BOS.  Frankie completed his Championship the next day by winning Best of Breed from the classes at the Welsh Terrier Club of America Speciality Show

We are so pleased with Baron. At the two major shows he has competed as a special, Baron was selected as Award of Merit. At both of these shows, Tommy, GCH Bayleigh Shaireab's Pinball Wizard, won Best of Breed. Baron is doing a great job of stepping into the big shoes Tommy left when he went to South America. Baron is a Group Winner and a Grand Champion in less than a month of showing. He is currently #1 Welsh Terrier All Systems and a Top Ten Terrier.

in Greenville, SC the weekend after the Garden, Tracy and Baron placed on Saturday 2/18 and Sunday 2/19 against stiff competition! Saturday's group judge was Mr. Richard William Powell, Sunday's was Mrs. Paula Hartinger.

Baron is now a Top 10 Terrier!! :)

Welcome to our youngest member of the team, Jennie, CH Shaireab's Bayleigh Maid of Honor. Westminster Kennel Club show will be Jennie's introduction to show ring as a special.

GCH SHAIREAB'S BAYLEIGH LOOK AT ME

Watch for Lauren, GCH Shaireab's Bayleigh Look at Me, at her final show before entering the whelping box. Lauren completed her Championship in one weekend of showing at Hatboro I and II, Devon and MCKC. She retired to the life of leisure as my house dog for two years, only to come back to ring at the MCKC weekend in 2011. She was either BOS or Select Bitch every day of the weekend. In 4 short weeks, Lauren became a Grand Champion and Group winner.

Spyder and I are anxiously waiting for Lauren to come home.

CH GERI'S GALES BARON ROJO

We are pleased to introduce at Westminster Kennel Club our newest specials dog, CH Geri's Gales Baron Rojo. This beautiful young male, sired by our dog Ch Bayleigh Shaireab's Nick of Time (who was winners dog at the National Specialty show MCKC in 2007), was Best of Winners at the National Specialty his first weekend in the States. During his first outing as a special Baron had multiple group placements and won a group during the highly competitive Florida circuit in January. Watch for Baron to step into Tommy's place in the show ring in 2012.

Watch for Tommy at the Garden on Tuesday! Tommy was #1 Welsh Terrier All Systems in 2011. Exclusively handled by Tracy Szaras for owners M Steuer and Shaireabs-Bayleigh.

Westminster will be Tommy's last show in the states before he leaves for his next adventure in Bogota, Colombia!

New Boy in town "BARON"

Our new specials dog Ch Geri's Gales Baron Rojo had a wonderful time in the Florida sunshine.  Baron's first week as a special was fabulous!! On the highly competitive Florida circuit, he won a Group I, 2 Group 2, 2 Group 3 and a Group 4. What a way to begin 2012.
